Euro 2004 Update
Well the Greeks make it through to the finals after losing to Russia 2-1. All they needed was 1 goal anyway. This result put them into the Quarter Final head to head with France (the current world champs). A nice goal in the second half was all they needed to beat the French 1-0.
They’ve been called the under dog, the surprise package which I guess is quite true concidering this is the first time in euro history they have actually made it. (Didn’t Greeks invent wog ball?)
Late Thursday night (early Friday morning) they will be playing the Czech in a Semi-Final. A win here will put them straight into the Final. Lets keep our fingers crossed and hope they don’t do a Richmond on us.
So the Spud has resigned. Who will coach us next year?
