A God send

Well today I am a happy man. Blue Yes and TDL listen on. TDL, hold off on that Microsoft Frontpage 2002 purchase.

The biggest issue we have when we develop small HTML based web sites is ‘How does the client easily maintain their own simple web presence?’ We can build a fantastic looking site but dread trying to propose a front end solution to simply update the site. Give them a book ‘HTML for dummies’ and show them how to use Windows Notepad.

Well thanks to Cheech I have found a sensational and cheap solution ($180 from City Software) to recommend to clients. Macromedia Contribute 2. This is purely used as a frontend. You physically browse the web page you want to modify. Click on Edit Page, make your changes in a WYSIWYG environment and click on Publish. It lets you easily create new pages based on pre-designed templates by your friendly neighbourhood web developer, add images, links, tables and much more.

Blue Yes, let me know what you think. I think this is the solution both you and I were looking for. Check it out. You can even download a 30 day trial.
